The Artist
Hal Schwarze
Hal Schwarze (Phone 404.210.8627) currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and is an independent artist who works with art dealers and representatives, as well as design firms and independent designers. He has shown in several galleries and won best of show in the 2000 Inman Park Festival in Georgia, one of the largest juried festivals in the U.S. He has also been published in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles magazine numerous times
Hal's painting revolves within the three major genres of abstract, figurative, and landscape compositions.
"My focus in painting will vary to accommodate the needs of the client when it is client based. In this, however, is always the "way" in which I express. It is not necessarily an intellectual choice, rather the attempt to remain posited in the "feeling" realm. Compositions and palettes are like musical note choices in writing songs. It is an infinite realm of discernment and knowing when a few simple notes are needed to be direct and natural in saying something."
Hal is currently working with live model figures and portraits to begin accepting commissions in these genres. His intention is to move into this market, as well, for the personal satisfaction that comes with the intimacy and sense of connection with portraiture work.
"I am extremely grateful to remain on a one on one basis with my clients and able to experience the process through completion. There is a great sense of satisfaction in not losing this opportunity to exclusive representation by a large entity. I like being an independent. Art is, like any other business, vulnerable to assimilation and digestion by corporate voracity. I wish to remain a small and special dessert to the discerning taste of the select few who like what they see".
Hal is also working on new images to be offered as prints for the first time..
